We use the same premium air-drying clay in our Sculpd pottery kit - it's perfectly soft, supple and easy to work into your dream chilli plant pot shape..

If stored unopened in the sealed bag the clay will last 3 - 6 months.

You'll be guided through serving the perfect Spicy Tommy’s Margarita while learning how to craft two chilli plant pots using our air dry clay and pottery tools.

Once dried and painted, follow the steps to grow two chilli plants from planting the seeds right through to harvesting chillies for your next margarita.

Each kit contains a 500ml bottle, which is enough to make 5 x 100ml cocktails to get the creative juices flowing and the tastebuds tingling.

Yes! We’ve developed a waterproof varnish especially for air-dry clay. It’s easy to apply, non streaky, non sticky and with amazing coverage so your chilli plants will be safe and happy.

How to waterproof your pot:

1. Wait for your piece to dry completely for a minimum of 2 - 3 days. It’s important your creation is bone dry before painting (very light in colour and hard to the touch).

2. Apply 2 generous coats of our white acrylic eggshell base layer on the inside, outside and base of your creation. Allow this to dry for a couple of hours.

3. Apply 2 generous coats of our ultra glossy or matte varnish on the inside, outside and base of your creation. Allow this to set completely overnight to ensure a waterproof finish.

And that’s all there is to it!

Please do not eat or drink from your creations as although they are waterproof, they will not be food safe.

The build - each pot will take an hour or so to make.

The decoration - depending on how detailed you want to be this could be a 15 minute activity or a 2-hour activity!
